HERBAL TEA RINSE: ROSEMARY

I HAVE A VERY SMALL GARDEN GROWING ON MY BALCONY AT HOME WHICH INCLUDES ROSEMARY (WITH THE INTENT OF USING IT ON MY HAIR).. I DUG UP A LITTLE USEFUL INFO AND IM EXCITED TO START USING IT... ESPECIALLY SINCE IT AIDS IN HAIR GROWTH!!! IM NOT SURE HOW OFTEN I WILL DO THESE ROSEMARY RINSES, BUT I KNOW I'LL FIGURE SOMETHING OUT... HERES THE INFO! ENJOY!

ROSEMARY:
This will bring out the warmth, richness and depth of dark colored hair. Rosemary is also been known to stimulate the scalp, prevent hair loss and help to regrow hair.
Herbal hair rinses help to restore hairs natural lustre and beauty. Depending on which variety you choose you can deep clean hair, lighten or darken your original hair color naturally, prevent dandruff or stimulate the scalp to increase growth. Apply the rinse after shampooing, rub into the scalp and leave the rinse on. Your hair will be smooth and soft, blow-dry and style as normal. Herbs can be prepared in a hair rinse to add shine and life to lack-luster hair, to enhance highlights, add balance to an excessively oily or dry scalp and improve scalp circulation thereby assisting with hair loss.

HERBAL ACV RINSE:
This rinse helps to restore the hair's natural acid balance and to remove dulling traces of soap. If bergamot is not available, you can substitute another fragrant herb from the mint family, such as basil or peppermint.
1/4 cup dried rosemary leaves
1/4 cup dried bergamot
2 cups clear cider vinegar Put the dried herbs in wide-mouthed jar. Heat the vinegar until it is just about to boil and pour it' over the herbs. After the vinegar cools, cap the jar. If the lid is metal, screw it on with a couple of layers of plastic wrap under it, so that the acidic vinegar will not react with the metal. Let it stand in a warm place for a week. Shake vigorously every day. Using fine cheesecloth in a funnel, strain the vinegar into a bottle and cap it. To use, dilute 1/3 cup of the vinegar with 2 or 3 cups of warm water and pour it over the hair one or two times as a final rinse.

QUICK HERBAL RINSE:
Any infusion made with an hair herb can be used as a quick rinse. Let the infusion cool to lukewarm before using it.
1 to 2 tablespoons dried sage, rosemary, or stinging nettle
2 cups boiling water Put the herbs in the boiling water, turn off the heat, and allow them to steep for 15 minutes. Strain and apply as a rinse

HOW TO MAKE ROSEMARY OIL:

2 cups virgin olive oil -- good quality
8 sprigs fresh rosemary -- or less

Rosemary - Clean the rosemary well with a damp cloth. If you submerse to clean - spin dry immediately. Make sure there is no water on the herb before you proceed. (The salts in water tend to brown the herb). Do not use woody twigs or stems. Optional: mince the leaves if you want to use a flavored oil immediately. Generally oil are aged 1 to 2 months before using. Put rosemary into a 2 cup (1 pint) bottle. Cover with almost 2 cups of fruity olive oil and seal. Keep in a cool, dark, place.

UPDATE: SO I TRIED THE FRESH ROSEMARY TEA RINSE LAST NIGHT AFTER WORK AND I LOVED IT!!!! MY HAIR IS UBER (LOL) SOFT, AND MY WAVES WERE WELL DEFINED!!! IM GOING TO REPORT BACK AND SEE IF THIS CAN BE USED EVERYDAY... I WOULD LOVE TO USE THIS AS A MOISTURE SPRITZ AS WELL.. WE'LL SEE!!!
