I used to use this as a moisturizer. It was ok. It did the job. I think it will work better after some heat has been applied to the hair or right after a relaxer.

Hello Southern_diva_natural,

When it comes to hair care, coconut oil should have no problems impressing you. Long before it was discovered to possess tremendous antimicrobial properties, coconut oil was already busy giving countless communities shiny, strong and beautiful hair, inside and out.

Coconut oil's unique fatty acid content have a high affinity with hair proteins which explains why coconut oil can easily penetrate the hair shaft and much more.

Cheers,
Frederick
